2014 La Côte 3-Pack
We chose the moniker 'the slope' for a reason. La Côte's stunning southern exposition, convex slope, and protected positioning, conspire to produce our most elegant and opulent wine. The vineyard absorbs the energy of the morning sun, and the exposed shale quickly warms the vines from the nighttime chill.
"The wine seems to have darker fruits on the nose with aromas of bing cherry, licorice, cola and sage. Like Bloom's Field, La Côte is fermented with 100% whole bunches and aged for 16 months in 20% new Ermitage barrels. La Côte takes longer to open up. Decanting or aging for 10+ years will greatly reward those with patience and cool cellars." - Rajat Parr
